I love the education my child receives with Childcare Network. At four years old, they teach all the basics of Kindergarten and more. Science is a huge part of the curriculum with many experiments and hands-on experiences. His teacher ensures they have plenty of center time, writing time, and time for socialization with his peers. He finally uses his manners in all parts of his daily life. I attribute many compliments from others to the Childcare Network, and I appreciate everything they have done to ensure my child goes to Kindergarten following an exceptional pre-school education.

the Director

Welcome to our fantastic child care center here in Gadsden, Alabama.  My name is Karen Adcock, and I have been the director at this school since 1993.  Before coming to Childcare Network, I was a K-4 teacher and day care director for over 13 years.  I have over 30  years of experience in this industry and my education includes a Bachelors degree in Family and Child Development from Auburn University, as well as continuing education with numerous workshops, seminars, and Child Care Education Institute training.

Our school strives to create a safe, warm and loving environment for the children, parents, and teachers.  We place an emphasis on exposing our children to a variety of experiences.  Special guests and community helpers often visit our school in order to enrich our wonderful program.  Musicians, soldiers, football stars…. even the Chick Fil A Cow and Ronald McDonald have come by for a visit!

We offer many special events for our families. Sarrell Dental and Focus First examine our teeth and eyes with a free screening each year. We offer gymnastic class for two year to four year olds with Amy Balenger, director of “Flip Out” gymnastics. In addition we encourage our parents to stay involved by providing activities such as Family Night and Working Parent Day.

Our Kindergarten Prep Academy (Kindergarten readiness program) operates on a full day, full year schedule for children ages 4-5 years old.  Our Pre-K curriculum through High Reach Learning provides a unique balance of standards-based on class room support materials.  Family connection components are easy to understand, and our parents look forward to their end of the year ceremony which is celebrated with our families, friends and community supporters.

We have an exciting and enriching Adventure Summer Camp program that includes weekly themes and educational field trips.  Summer campers enjoy local venues such as The Splash Pad, Imagination Place, Summer Movie Program, Public Library, and Skating.

It is my pleasure to be able to work alongside great teachers and have the opportunity to impact so many children and their families.  Childcare Network provides the educational foundation for each child to be successful throughout life, with quality curriculum and activities for every age group.  We are affordable and work with every family to meet their needs, making us unlike any other child care provider in the Gadsden area.

Give me a call or come by for a tour!  I know you’ll find that we provide excellent care, have the best teachers in the area and a well-balanced curriculum for learning at every age!  I look forward to meeting you and your family soon!
See you soon!
