Testimonials
I am very pleased as a parent with this child care center. So I decided to allow my children to tell me how they feel about the facility and I place there review. " This is a very fun daycare, there are a lot of activities to do. They do a good job of making sure you eat and sometimes we go on trips. The ladies that work there are very nice and fair to everyone, and they love you like your their owns." Now that was coming from a child and every parent wants to see their child happy.

the Director

Welcome to the best preschool in Burlington, NC! My name is Shaunta Mitchell and I am the school director. I have worked for Childcare Network for over 9 years as a Teacher and now in Administration.  I am proud to work for a company that believes in providing a quality learning environment for children.

Our teachers pride themselves on being able to lay loving and supportive foundations for all our children, as well as implement curriculum tailored to their individual needs. Our focus at this center is on Early Literacy. Children develop much of their capacity for learning in the first three years of life, when their brains grow to 90 percent of their eventual adult weight.  Early Literacy does not mean teaching children how to read and write. It is about teaching them the skills they need to read and write beforehand.  Early literacy knowledge and skills include language development, print awareness, and writing skills. Research shows that children arriving at kindergarten with developed early literacy skills are more likely to become successful students.

Infants, Toddlers, and Twos are exposed to an environment that encourages language development through pictures, stories, songs, and teacher-child interactions.  Our Threes and the children in our Kindergarten Prep Academy, (pre-k program for children ages 4 and 5 years of age) are provided a print-rich environment to prepare them for elementary reading. The Young Achievers (after school program) enjoy their cooking, science and drama clubs at the school.  These clubs encourage the children to follow directions, explore different ways of doing things, and inspire creativity.  Our Adventure Summer Camp consists of many fantastic and engaging field trips such as swimming, visits to local museums and fun-filled days in the park.  We also offer a summer reading program which helps keep the minds of our Young Achievers active.

Call us today and plan a time to come and visit our preschool on Sellars Mill Road. You will see for yourself all of the awesome things that are taking place in our school as well as be able to meet our wonderful staff. We look forward to meeting your family soon!
See you soon!
