About our Child Care & Preschool Center in Wilmington
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Childcare Network on 41st street in Wilmington, NC. Our names are Randi Reavis and Tiffany Johnson. We co-direct here at CNI #83 and love working as a team to provide our students and families with a high quality childcare. Randi received her BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and earned her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials from Stanly Community College. Tiffany received her BA in Criminology at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte NC. Early childhood credentials were also received by Stanly Community College. We have both worked within Childcare Network for the past 4 years. We have both had experience working in the classrooms at CNI and loved being part of the children’s learning experiences. We’re a 5 star facility by the North Carolina Quality Rating Program.
At Childcare Network #83 we take pride in teaching and promoting healthy living. Our focus of expertise at CNI #83 is Wellness Works Wonders. We have collaborated with a few outside programs to come into our school that get the children moving and exercising with fellow schoolmates. Some of the programs include Soccer through the YMCA, Stretch and Grow and Karate. These programs take place on Wellness Wednesdays. The goal of Wellness Wednesday is to teach the children that active play is fun and important to stay physically fit and healthy.
Our families and staff are really what make our preschool stand out from any other preschool in New Hanover County and surround areas. Each one of our teachers truly cares about every child in their classroom and believes in building their confidence and education while they are in our care. Our curriculum, High Reach Learning, is school-wide and allows for customization for each age group and their appropriate developmental stages.
This month we are studying “What Happen When…” which is a topic that involves a lot of experimenting and tons of fun. Some of the other monthly topics we cover include “Light and Dark, Eco-Exploring, Wings and Things that Fly and Textures and Fabrics.”
Even our after school program, the Young Achiever’s Club and our Adventure Summer Camp for the school age children include new themes that encourage the children to explore, discover, and imagine. Educational field trips and group activities keep older children active and engaged. Some of the places we visit include The Arboretum, The Splash Pad, The Fort Fisher Aquarium, The Serpentarium and Cardinal Lanes.
We would love to have you as part of our family at Childcare Network #83. Please call to schedule a tour or to come visit our school on 41st street. We look forward to meeting you and your family soon.
