About our Child Care & Preschool Center in Fort Walton Beach
Welcome to our school here in Fort Walton Beach, FL! License #C01OK0021. My name is Erin Goodson, and I am the director at Childcare Network #40. I strive to partner with families and staff in order to build a positive culture and caring community that promotes integrity, family well being and a safe healthy and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.
Our staff is always welcoming and empathetic to the needs of our families and students. As the working parent’s best friend, we need to make sure our families are supported and experience firsthand the love we feel for our students.
Our curriculum enhances the learning experiences to make learning fun! The classroom's daily activities ensure that we are meeting the educational and developmental goals of each child. Our focused literacy skills include language development, print awareness, writing skills, and fostering a love of reading and learning during the most critical period of brain development. Research shows that children arriving to Kindergarten with developed early literacy skills are more likely to become successful students. Our Pre-Kindergarten Prep Academy and our Kindergarten Prep Academy, (our pre-k program for children ages 3 to 5 years of age) are provided a print-rich environment to prepare them for elementary reading.
The Young Achievers (school age children) enjoy a wide variety of activities and clubs during the school year as well as during the summer. Our Summer Adventure Camp program consists of many fantastic and engaging field trips such as swimming, visits to local museums and fun-filled days in the park. We also offer a summer reading program which helps keep the minds of our Young Achievers active.
I hope you and your family will stop by to see everything we have to offer, and learn why we are the "Working Parent's Best Friend."
