About our Child Care & Preschool Center in Locust Grove
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. I am so excited to be a part of the Childcare Network family! I am looking forward to a very productive and exciting year at #235. My name is Stephanie Ellis and I have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice/ sociology. After graduation, I operated a home-based childcare facility in Jackson, MS. I began my journey at Childcare Network in 2010 as a one year old teacher and a front desk administrator. I was later promoted to assistant director, then director. I enjoy the Locust Grove area because of its proximity to the city, the variety of shops, restaurants and the many family activities to do; there is always something exciting and fun to do. I have lived here for eight wonderful years. I have two children, a 17 year old and a 6 year old. My 6 year old has been enrolled with Childcare Network since she was an infant. Our experience has been great at Childcare Network.
As the director at Childcare Network #235, it will be my mission to make sure that the time your child spends with us is invaluable to their future academic successes. We utilize the Bright Babies curriculum in our infant room. The children learn through their experiences with the teachers and the other infants in the classroom. We also use High Reach Curriculum in our Smart Steps Academy, Ready 2 Learn and Pre KPA classrooms. The children in those classrooms learn through play and experiences. We offer three GA Pre-K classrooms in our facility. We have a wonderful Young Achievers classroom that helps the children build relationships with one another. Our staff is always welcoming and empathetic to the needs of our families and students. As the working parent’s best friend, we need to make sure our families are supported and experience firsthand the love we feel for our students. I want parents to know that one of my primary goals for the children at Childcare Network #235 will be to foster an environment where each child can challenge themselves and achieve. I want them to learn that it’s safe to try anything, that it’s ok if they fail, and that there is always an opportunity to try again.
I look forward to spreading joy every day at #235. Whether it be happy students or happy staff, I look forward to seeing a slew of smiles walk through the front door each and every morning; hearts filled with the desire to be here, to be successful, and to have pride in what they are accomplishing. Please do not wait for formal conferences to discuss any concerns you have with me. My door is always open!
