About our Child Care & Preschool Center in Greensboro
Welcome to our school of Language and Literacy in Greensboro, NC. My name is Jolene Thorpe and I am the school director. I have worked in early education for many years, and am excited to be a part of the Childcare Network #157 family! When I was in 3rd grade, my love for education truly was formed. My teacher made learning so much fun, and I was hooked from that moment on! Since then, I have been building relationships with families, staff, and children, and working to make an impact. I want those whom I encounter to remember me for years to come!
Our school takes pride in the family atmosphere and we are extremely excited about the opportunity to watch your children grow with us. We strive to offer quality learning through fun activities and a structured curriculum. We encourage our parents to join us in all of our activities in classroom and when partnering within the community.
Infants, Toddlers, and Twos are exposed to an environment that encourages language development through pictures, stories, songs, and teacher-child interactions. Our Threes and the children in our Kindergarten Prep Academy, (our pre-k program for children ages 4 and 5 years of age) are provided a print-rich environment to prepare them for elementary reading. The Young Achievers (school age children) enjoy a wide variety of activities and clubs during the school year as well as during the summer. Our Summer Adventure Camp program consists of many fantastic and engaging field trips such as swimming, visits to local museums and fun-filled days in the park. We also offer a summer reading program which helps keep the minds of our Young Achievers active.
Our goal here at Childcare Network is for children to leave here, knowing that language and literacy will help them to be successful throughout life. Our staff and parents are like one big family, so call us today and come visit our school. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
