About our Child Care & Preschool Center in Greensboro
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. I am so excited to be a part of the Childcare Network family! I am looking forward to a very productive and exciting year at #163. My name is Courtney Smith and I have Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Winston-Salem University. Currently, I am working on my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health. I have experience working with children of all age groups. I started out as a floater teacher in all classrooms, then I worked my way through two’s, toddlers and finished up in the infant room.
I am originally from a small city, Kinston, NC so what I love about his town is that is feels like home! I do not have children yet, however I do have a fur-baby named Chole Chanel. She is three years old. Coming from a line of educators, I knew I would work with children. I have always had a passion to teach and empower others due to my fascination at how the mind works at such an early age.
As a director at Childcare Network #163, it will be my mission for our school to be the best it can be. To partner with families and staff in order to build a positive culture and caring community that promotes integrity, family well being and a safe healthy and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. It will be my mission to make sure that the time your child spends with us is invaluable to their future academic successes . Our staff is always welcoming and empathetic to the needs of our families and students.
Our 5-Star school offers a unique program to prepare your child for life after preschool through Kindergarten Prep Academy, our Young Achievers Club, and Adventure Summer Camp. Our Kindergarten Prep Academy prepares your child for kindergarten through a full day program with easy to understand family connection components. At the end of each year, parents can look forward to the graduation ceremony for their little ones! Nearing the summer months, we transition into our Summer Camp, which includes fun, educational activities for our pre-k and school age children. Our school agers go on field trips to the area museums, art centers, movie theaters, community swimming pool, and many more interesting places. Even in the midst of all the fun, we engage our school agers in a summer reading program, “Read to Succeed”, to keep their reading skills sharp during the summer.
Childcare Network provides the educational foundation for each child to be successful throughout life with quality curriculum and activities for every age group. We are willing to work with every family to meet their needs, making us unlike any other child care provider in this area.
As the working parent’s best friend, we need to make sure our families are supported and experience firsthand the love we feel for our students. I look forward to spreading joy every day at #163. Whether it be happy students or happy staff, I look forward to seeing a slew of smiles walk through the front door each and every morning; hearts filled with the desire to be here, to be successful, and to have pride in what they are accomplishing. Please do not wait for formal conferences to discuss any concerns you have with me. My door is always open!
