Childcare Network's Adventure Summer Camp is designed with fun and educational activities that will keep your child learning, exploring, and physically active during the summer months. Our STEAM-focused curriculum incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, and is designed to inspire curiosity and creative problem-solving.
Designed to provide a fun and exciting environment - while continuing to help them explore and discover the world around them - our kid's day camp provides your child the opportunity to participate in different weekly themes chock-full of engaging activities, educational field trips, and creative projects they get to do with their friends.
This summer, our theme is Mission: Mash-Up!
Each week, your child will meet a character from a popular children's adventure story who has been kicked out of their original home and placed in different settings throughout space and time. The mission each week is to travel to these faraway lands, find the characters, and help bring them back to their original stories. Hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, field trips, and more will take learning outside of the classroom!

A wizard has to find his way home from outer space using only a homemade rocket ship and all he knows about propulsion, gravity, and more. His magic won't help him now!
This mission's objective will be to learn all about outer space, including the concepts of an orbit, gravity, the atmosphere, and general knowledge of the solar system. In order to help the young wizard return to school, Young Achievers will build a rocket ship and explore the concepts of propulsion as they engineer their way back to Earth!
A carpenter jumps out of Mushroom Land and into the 3D block world to craft armor, acquire resources to craft tools, and trade goods with other villagers to protect and build his very own castle.
This week the explorers will become architects and engineers as they build a castle. In the process of building, they will learn about center of gravity, balance, structural design, and planning so all of their creations are structurally sound and stand the test of time.
A crime-fighting canine and his friends save and train a T-Rex while they discover many fascinating things about the Cretaceous Era!
Next the Young Achievers will travel to the Cretaceous Era to Train their T-Rex! In the process, they will to learn about the history of dinosaurs, their extinction, dig up fossils, and more. They will also explore computer science concepts like error detection. When training a T-Rex, there are certain steps you must follow. For example, we cannot train a dog to roll over until she knows how to sit and lay down first. If you go out of order, your dog will end up doing backflips instead! By understanding the order in which a program needs to run, your child will develop the building blocks for computational thinking and computer programming. Who knew animal training could be so technological?
This week children will learn about endangered species and the causes that have pushed these animals A superhero king is leaving his home nation of Africa and venture to the Amazon Rainforest to save endangered species of animals and plants! Will his friend Captain Environmentalism join him in the fight?
Explorers will learn about endangered species and the causes that have pushed them towards extinction. The campers will choose a specific endangered animal, research its habitat, food, and life cycle, and then present the information in the form of a PSA video to spread the message to the world!
Can a superhero follow his treasure map through the Wild Wild West? He's on the search for Gold, Silver, Copper, Mercury, and more. Kapow, Shazam, Yee Haw!
This mission will incorporate the use of computer programming and algorithms to help find buried treasure in the Wild West! How will they do this without a computer? Young Achievers will explore an even greater depth of computational thinking by "programming" directions. Children will plan out a path including which direction to walk, when to turn, and how many steps to take in each direction. Then, the superhero will have to follow these instructions as written. If their instructions are correct, he will find the buried treasure. If they are not, children will have to go back to the drawing board to readjust the path. Planning ahead and "coding" these instructions will teach the most fundamental concepts when it comes to computer science and engineering. Along the way, children will learn about frontier life and the culture of the Wild West.
This teenager is no wimpy kid this week - he and his friends in Renaissance Italy will invent simple machines that do BIG things!
This week children will be designing their own inventions, just as Leonardo Da Vinci did hundreds of years ago. Through an innovative blend of art, science, and engineering, children will solve real world problems using their wildest imaginations!
A superheroine leads a journey through weather and climate change - with the help of her golden lasso and some newly-discovered magic ice. Her invisible jet won't keep her out of the cold this time!
During this mission students will learn about climate, weather, and different environments as they explore the Ice Age of 12,000 years ago. As they help the superheroine survive the cold winter landscape, they will encounter the extinct animals and fascination habitats that ruled the world during the Ice Age.
The king of Atlantis will leave the ocean floor just in time to rescue the Titanic and help build lifeboats for everyone! Everyone will have to learn a little about buoyancy and density to stay afloat and to help return the king to his home.
Adventure Summer campers will help the king of Atlantis prevent one of the most famous disasters in American history - the sinking of the Titanic. Learning about buoyancy, density, and ocean life, children will use all the tools at their disposal to keep the Titanic afloat and save thousands of lives.
Your school-ager will use all of the "lost" items she can find to escape from the Bermuda Triangle with the help of other famous explorers in history.
This week will be focused on investigating the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle! Legends tell us that this mysterious area is home to ship wrecks, plane crashes, and many other mysterious disappearances. If the legends are to be believed, Young Achievers are sure to find lots of wreckage and trash littered across the sea. Using their knowledge of recycling and engineering, they will transform the ocean trash into an up-cycled airplane to use to escape the Bermuda Triangle's stormy grasp!
While running at supersonic speed through the Grand Canyon, Sonic the Hedgehog notices something amiss. He must learn all about erosion to make it stop!
Students will learn about erosion and geology as they discover how the Grand Canyon was formed. As they learn about all types of geology and how erosion happens, they will see how rain, rivers, wind, and snow all play an important part in shaping the world we live.
While in Future Tokyo, the power goes out across the planet Earth. It's up to the Young Achievers to figure out how to make their own electricity before he can find his friends!
The Young Achievers will be traveling to the future to learn about electricity and technology. In the future, everything will be powered by electricity. If the power goes out, we better know what to do! By learning about circuits, currents, and how electricity is created, Young Achievers will restore power back to Future Tokyo.
A group of three best friends have always know what each other was thinking! Now they must decode the Atlantean language and discover lost technology to help everyone understand what's happening.
Finally, we are going to travel to the lost city of Atlantis to discover their ancient hidden secrets and technology! By decoding the Atlantean language using a cypher, children will learn a core concept of computer science while also gaining an understanding of ancient cultures.
